I was amazed and very pleased with the early results, simple painting of a bluebell or a robin, but those were early days and we had a lot to learn.
The course was so well designed with guide sheets to help with shapes, form and colour. As the course progressed it got harder and more interesting, bringing in all the different mediums such as water colours, acrylics, pastels, pen and ink and oils.
The best thing was taking home a picture that you had finished, usually in one evening but sometimes over 2 to 3 weeks depending on the medium. Oils take a long time to dry so had to be left for the next week to continue.
The teachers were amazing, very patient and encouraging when things went wrong.
