This week we have an exciting new project underway.  Working with both of our charities we are creating Christmas art masterpieces for delivery to our amazing Care Home partners, for their residents, who are living with Dementia. Under normal circumstances many of these residents would be taking part in our classes, but unfortunately that has not been possible since March.  This is an opportunity to remind them how valuable they are to us and how much we miss being able to visit and spend time doing art with them.

A few of our carehome partners have creating fantastic galleries so the enjoyment of our classes can spread beyond just those taking part. We look forward to the future when we can start adding to these galleries once again.

Our Little Art School students in Ayrshire and Glasgow, along with our Little Art Stars students at Braehead, Newton, Forehill and Kincaidston Primary Schools have taken time out to use their creative skills to make Festive cards and personal messages which will be delivered into Care Homes and wards across Ayrshire.

A small selection of some of the beautiful cards returned so far……….

The response has been amazing, we are very proud of all of our students and know their messages will be gratefully received.

This week we have also launched our Dementia Arts Christmas cards which were created by two of our incredible Dementia students.  Reminding us that you are never too young or old to use Art as a way to improve somebodies’ day.

Wee Robin

One of our designs  – we absolutely love this wee Robins style, beautifully painting by Morag.
